That should be fine, however I dont know if the clips that are designed to hold it to a 486 will be physically able to hold it to an 060. This may not matter, what I do is after I have put grease on and attached the h/s I run a little superglue gel on one side where the h/s joins the cpu. This is strong enough to keep the two mated together, and its still easy enough to get them apart it needed. If you can get any artic silver or other silver based grease then this is best, otherwise the normal white stuff will be OK.
If you want to see fan speed in the CPX then you would need to get a 3 wire fan and wire the sensor wire to the MFP.
