Enhanced Polyphonic Sample Synthesizer.

The best sound system written for the STe as far as I know. It's a sample sound module for use with MIDI keyboards or it can hook itself into Cubase directly acting as a realtime sample synth while editing in Cubase.

Yes, what is today known as a software sound module in Cubase is what EPSS was in 1991 on the Atari STe/TT.

You can download EPSS in the Digital editors part here, it works on Falcon although no special Falcon driver (8bit sound). The EPSS control can also load standard MIDI-files and play them trhough the EPSS sound system. If you have a patch-file (sample-set) suited fo the MIDI-file, get ready for some rock'n roll :)
