Emagic Logic
Posted by: Crash May,21.2005-11:58

Greetings,

Today I tried to run Emagic Logic on my CT60 Falcon. To minimize problems, I turned of the motherboard Boost function and switched to F030 mode.

Logic requires a cartridge dongle called LOG3, which doubles as an additional MIDI interface.

Unfortunately, if the LOG3 cartridge is installed, the CT60 Falcon will not boot at all. Once in a while I get a white screen that says: Bad CRC in Rom E

When the LOG3 is removed, the computer works properly.

In hopes of ruling out a problem with my cartridge port, I attempted to run several other programs in F030 mode that use cartridge dongles. Most of them worked, except Zero-X 2 from Copson Data. Cubase, Cubase Audio worked when the cartridges were installed, and correctly recognized when they were not.

Can anyone suggest how a cartridge could be interfering with a CT60 Falcon when running in F030 mode?

Is there any way around this?

Thanks!
