well, i had nvram problems (completely erased contents of nvram when switched off - but this was
bad nvram chip so i chnaged the battery in order to spare myself fropm soldering :)
then i noticed that clock was still somewhat slow :)
so i removed clock.cpx what helped...
i also noticed that FULL 72 MHz and LC/EC chip 90 MHz did not behave the same as
far as the clock is concerned - EC/LC was not slow even with 1.02b...
have no idea if this helps but this was my experience...
