The main problem I'm having now is that I truelly do not understand how to set the video in the XaAes.cnf file.

As u also dont understand this is CT60 related bulletin board, not "help me with any tiny winny problem i may have."
Use -fvideo 26 for 16cols or -fvideo 27 for 256 cols. If u want bigger res as 640*480 install some res enhancer software. However, that as well is not CT60 related. Sorry to be harsh, i read SAME messages from you on many many boards...
