I got some information on this Distributed page: http://n0cgi.distributed.net/faq/index.cgi?_recurse=1&file=40#file_264
It says that:
-Pentium does about 1.43kkeys per mhz.
-68060 does about 3.03kkeys per mhz.
Based on those figures,
72 * 3.03 = 218kks (060 @ 72mhz)
100 * 1.43 = 143kks (p1 @ 100)
AND, just for curiosity -
166 * 2.06 = 341kks (P1 MMX @ 166mhz)
2200 * 1.43 = 3146 (PIV @ 2.2ghz)
So it looks like a 72mhz 060 by itself (excluding surrounding architecture ;-) is quite a bit faster than a P100.
I did go out and track down some 060 benchmarks on the Amiga to verify that the 060 gives 3.03kkeys/mhz.
That figure seems pretty accurate wherever I looked. It seems to vary from 3 to 3.06.
There were some people using a straight C compiled client who got about 2.3kkeys/mhz, but we all know why that is ;-)
There was also one claim of an optimised client for PPC 060 that delivers what I calculate to be 11kkeys/mhz (the site says 588kks at unspecified speed, 50mhz apparently), but I don't know if I believe it! You can see it here, scroll down a bit: http://www.vgr.com/ppc/
***BOGOMIPS***
Aside from RC5, I've looked into bogomips a bit, because it is a CPU-only bench (I know bogomips aren't very accurate, but anyway...)
060/72 = 144.7 bogomips approx.
P100 = 40 bogomips approx.
P200 = 80 bogomips approx.
060 comes out on top again :-)
I'll send you my spreadsheet if you want to muck around with it or check that I'm calculating this stuff correctly! I did have it online, but my host booted me the day after I posted the link on this BBS! grrrr
