"Almost any drive will work. The issue is whether there are jumpers for drive
select or not. Because PC's floppys are set to drive 1 (B) at the factory
for historical reasons this needs to be changed. I havent seen any floppy
drives recently with actual movable plastic jumpers, but I had to replace my
Falcon's drive 6 months ago, there were some tiny solder pads called ds0 and
ds1. ds1 was soldered, ds0 was open. I changed them around and that did the
trick.
Try looking at the drive before you buy it. Even if you have to pay a couple
£ more than you can get one online it will be worth it to not have to send
it back."
This worked just fine here anyway.
