Yes, in the SuperVidel we'll include hardware support for performing 2-dimensional IDCT, which is the computationally heaviest part of decoding MPEGs. This will probably let the falconeers play standard DVDs at normal speed, finally.
But IDCT is a very common part of video compression, so this will probably be useful for playing DivX and other formats also...
If you mean "movie capture" as in connecting a camera or another video stream source to the SuperVidel for real time encoding of MPEGs, this will not be included because there is no room for an ADC on the board. It would have made the SV quite a bit more expensive also, and delayed...
But we may include an hardware DCT function (opposite of IDCT) in the FPGA of the SuperVidel, so that encoding MP3s and MPEGs will be possible. But you'll need to get the raw video stream into your falcon in another way...
