Re: SamF's Falcon

Okay, here's some more info. I reversed the 50MHz clock to the DSP and fed the original clock from the 32MHz to the DSP and the problem still exists. I noticed through some careful listening that the problem only exists in the right audio channel and it also exists without using the DSP to decode the mp3! This means that the problem must be from the DAC and farther. I noticed his audio modification is different than mine. Mine has a small inductor coil soldered between the left and right side of the headphone jack and has a capacitor hooked up from right side to another place, and left side to another place. His falcon on the other hand has a cap hooked up from right to center, and then another hooked up from center to left (I beleive the center post is ground for the audio output but I'm not sure). I'm hoping that one of the caps is bad so that the gain is high on the right output which is what is causing the problem but it has occurred to me that his DAC might be bad. I notice the DAC is hand soldered! Any ideas guys?
