Lucky you! You must have one of those non-flaky Falcons! :-)
I know some people have no problems at all.. Perhaps Atari choose different brands of bus drivers or something..
My 2 falcons are equally picky about the IDE cable length, and the issue gets even worse when I connect anything to the cartridge port.
