Re: CT60 SDMA timing issue?

Interesting point.

There are 4 clocks going in to SDMA chip that I know of. CPUCLOCKA (system clock - standard is 32mhz if not accelerated), 25Mhz (from XTAL on f030 board, 32Mhz (shared from DSP XTAL), and AUX (sent by ext clock like CAC or FDI).

I get the chainsaw in 060 mode, 50/25mhz or 32/16mhz bus, and even in 030 mode which is completely standard clock speeds.

As the DSP XTAL is only feeding the SDMA (the DSP is fed from the CT60 now), it's a possibility that this XTAL is faulty, or soldering/traces are faulty. I have lots of spare XTALs in my box but not a 32.

BTW - I do run a FPU at 66mhz though, but the clock pin was removed from the socket and the XTAL is directly soldered to the FPU, so it can't molest the CPUCLOCKA (which is normally be joined to the FPU clock).
