As I use RGB monitor quite often in both 030 and 060 modes, I guess I would have noticed that (I run mentioned demos from time to time). So it's definitely not a CT60 feature :)
It smells really like bad VBL settings, although I can't imagine the cause. I had similar problems with my TBL ports, they are timed to exactly 50 Hz so if you use Videlity & co, and vertical frequency was set to let's say 50.1 Hz, it went all wrong eventually.
