Hi Rodolphe,
I did program version 1G into the CPLD. The system is still working, including lspci to list the cards :-)
I then did try using the network card with the RTL8129.XIF driver by Ozk on my mint 1.16.3 installation. No luck. The card is found, but the driver installs four cards RTK0, RTK1, RTK2 and RTK3, neither of which is functional. No crashes either, but this hasn't changed for me, too.
Have yet to test USB, but for now it's christmas eve :-)
