Well, ok, now I am able to get TOS and MINT up into 1024x768.
However..
When in MINT, I MUST use NVDI, but in TOS mode, I must not.
So, there is somethign there about the screen modes in those.
This is very alternative because in order to use the CT63 prior to the CTPCI, it would hang as soon as I started to do pretty much anythign if I did not have NVDI?
So, what is the deal with NVDI then?
AFAIK, NVDI does not use the Blitter and thats all there is to it really.
Magic has failed completely to load up. It goes through the motions, it patches the bits needed before it reboots but then it just hangs.
One thing that I do have, which could be linked to this, is that every time I try to CTRL-ALT-DEL with teh Falcon, it hangs. It does this no matter what I am doing and no matter how I do it. Could the soft reset on the Magic reboot be doing the same thing? - This does not happen in 030 mode you see? - Just a thought. As I said, I am moving over to MiNT anyway.

Yes, I do get flustered but I am doing things very slowly. I dont have enough time to do much testing but when I do, I am working through it as I should be.

No. On the TT I have a huge array of various setups, Magic, MiNT, Geneva and TOS, even Omen ( I love that but its ultimately useless ) and I am using TeraDesk, Jinnee, Ease, Thing, and NeoDesk and I can select any O/S to work with any Desktop ( Almost ) and I have no problems on the TT.
The Falcon I have nothign but issues and right now, I have gone back to the very basic of basics. I have a choice of MINT or TOS nothing else.
I am using a Compact Flash card for my C: while I am doing my tests etc to keep thigns as clean as possible.

Yes, and it is flashed with the latest files too

No, never. I do chose between COPS and XCONTROL for loading the CPX Modules mind you, but thats only because I much prefer COPS but the new XCONTROL is supposed to be more compatible.
But the CPX Files themselves are all in C:\CPX\
