Yeah, its me...
How did I manage it?
Well, my Falcon is so ridiculously unrealiable its just not possible.
For example I ran it great and it was flawless whiel I did teh fresh install, and then with the Radeon I did nothing, and there it was showing a 1024x768 x 65K screen mode ( That will do just fine ) last night, and this morning I simply left out the MINT040.PRG so I would go into TOS mode and the screen is corrupt?
Back into MINT and its fine!???
Now, WTF is that supposed to tell me?
It was fine in TOS
I have done a fresh install of MINT
and now I cannot use TOS?
Does the MiNT setup even touch anythign to do with NVDI? - Even if it did, it should not stop me getting to the desktop in any default mode should it?
When it boots in TOS mode I get a Teal / Turqouise desktop and teh icons are black and corrupted. I cannot make out any text either.
Similarly, I can no longer get into Magic at all when I have the Radeon physically connected... It simply hangs on the MAGCBOOT.PRG in the Auto folder when its trying to patch it before rebooting... Take the Radeon out and its fine.
Ok, so I can live with that... I want to move over to MiNT anyway, but thats the kind of things I have to put up with?
I think this is now the opposite of what I had last time?
Although, and this is somehting that I have all the time, is that when I first start her up, I can often get an Exception error 3 or 4 ( Sometimes 2 but not see that for a while ) when it just kicks in HDDriver. I can try starting the bugger 5 or 6 times before I get past that.
This has always happened since I got the CT60, however once Im running, it seems to be fairly rock solid in CuBase Audio.
But as I said, I cannot get to TOS Desktop now for some stupid reason.
Go figure?
