Ok, well, downloaded it with Linux last night, ( Mint 9, FireFox 3 ) and extracted the ZIP to a USB Flash Disk ( FAT32 ) then used a Windows 7 PC to then write to a ZIP Disk ( I dont have a Zip Drive on any of my Linux PCs but I use Zip Disks to xfer to/from my PCs to the Ataris )
Everything went good.
I have just flashed the Falcon and I am now on v2.0
I will have to find out the cause of the issues.
Its the actual download process that is the problem and where the corruption occurs, because its not only 7ZIP that has the errors. Even when I use any other Archiver on the PC or the Atari, the error is still there, so its the actual download process.
I have also tested the files that I downloaded in Windows and unzipped it in Linux and its had errors, and yet the ZIP that I downlaoded in linux unzipped just fine in windows, so that also points to the corruption happening during the download.
Its an interesting thing here because this has NEVER happened with all the other CT ZIPs that I have downloaded, only the v2 ones?
Or has it?
Is this why I had the corruptions last year?
I need to have a look into this.
But the bottom line is that I have just flashed to v2.00 with files that I downlaoded and unzipped with Linux instead of Windows and after leaving it off for a good 20 or so seconds, i turned it back on and I got the v2.0 Message.
I have not done any more than that.
