I have problems using ttf-fonts with fvdi, too (MiNT).
The font preview is not displayed in TeraDesks fontselector,
in Highwire only the first word of each line is displayed
and in QED only the first and the last word of a text
shows up. Tested with many ttf fonts.
I sent a mail to Johan (fvdi), he wanted to check this but
i didn't get a reply yet.
