You're mixing two issues here -- one is observation about EtherNAT vs Daynaport (which could be true) and one is EtherNAT vs CTPCI.

First I have no clue but the latter might be issue of EtherNAT driver or CTPCI/CT60 firmware (even when Rodolphe claims from HW side everything is ok, we never know).

Btw that EtherNAT cable 'hang' isn't really a hang, it's just infinite loop until you plug cable, Alan removed / fixed this in CVS long time ago.
