Re: CTPCI + Ethernat (new phenomen

^^ sorry for that :)

I found out interesting(?) things about ethernat+ctpci:

I have installed ethernat on ctpci (latest firmware now *lol*), latest TOS, ABE and SDR. When I try to access web via ethernat.xif e.g. using cab (no nvdi/fvdi, so I cannot use highwire), I get my system frozen.

Okay, so far so bad. So I disabled ethernat.xif and enabled scsilink.xif for my daynaport and guess what... system also freezes!

Reason: I forgot to unplug network cable from ethernat... when I unplug this, daynaport runs fine...

(I didn't test usb drivers, yet)

So I think the ethernat troubles *might* come from the famous: hangs when network cable is not installed issue? What do you think? Why should network access via daynaport cause the system to freeze when NO driver for ethernat is loaded and ethernat isn't used at all... I think this is a hardware conflict (which needs software workaround *g*)!

What do you think?

Chris
