Hello Peter,
the Coldfire v4e has a MMU and thus,
it is usable for modern operating
systems. I cannot say much about the
compatibility of the MMU with older
68k processors but I assume that there
is not much in common. The only common
thing of cf68k and the old m68k CPUs
is the similar instruction set.
Regardless of Rodolphes work, I will
continue with my OS related stuff on
the coldfire. Once there is a new
coldfire-based hardware platform (by
ACP, Rodolphe or someone else) this
work will (hopefully) pay off.
Greetings,
Norman
