Re: Options for re-casing Falc+CT

I've put my Falcon in a Cosmos ATX case from Cooler Master. The motherboard fits without modifications, though you have to drill and tap new holes for the mounting screws. With the motherboard in place, it looks as if there will be space for the CTPCI in the correct position by the PCI brackets, though I haven't confirmed that yet.

The Cosmos case is a big full size tower case with lots of padding and soundproofing. Very quiet, even loaded up with hard drives and stuff.

I can email you some pics of my installation when I get home in a couple of days.

Another option is the Wizztronics Falcon Rack, which is on sale for $99 right now. You'd probably have to modify it in order to fit the CTPCI, since there's no provision for PCI brackets. Overseas shipping would probably be expensive. I checked recently, and they have about 20 cases in stock, though they're running short of cables and other accessories.
