your spec doesn't contain the most important thing, vertical frequency ;-) The lower (and higher), the better, i.e. 60 Hz - 75 Hz is much worser for demos than 50 Hz - 100 Hz (but to find 100 Hz LCD, that's quite a challenge).
I use 23" LCD 1920x1080 ViewSonic with 50 Hz bottom, I can play all 50/60 Hz VGA demos with no problem. And its 4:3 "emulation" is quite astonishing, it looks better than some 16:9 resolution set manually in Videlity, so I went back to 800x600 (4:3).
