Hi,
the Falcon Videl runs at 25 MHz default for the 640x480 modes. Luckily there is an internal 32 MHz clock that can be activated instead.
Using software like Blowup, Centscreen, Videlity, VidelInside, Screenblaster etc you can configure a 32 MHz resolution to use. It's pretty much trial and error, but with some patience you'll get there.
I think at 800x600 you end up with something like 55Hz refresh, so I strongly recomend using a LCD monitor capable of such low frequency, as they won't flicker like a CRT does.
Please note that in TOS you need to use an Y-resolution even by 16 (the font height in the vt52 emulator), so then 592 or 608 are your options. In MiNT or MagiC 600 lines are fine as well (prefered as the monitors are often calibrated to scale 800x600 fine) as their vt52 emulators uses a GEM window.
