Thank you for the replies.
Yes, it has come to my notice about Lonny Pursells work with LDG, pehaps this is the right solution to my problem.
What I don't like is the need for the LDG Manager instead of soft loading the codecs routines directly.
But Lonnys work is great, I'm sure.
