Timer C can be changed, but it's not recomended unless you are dead sure about your save/restore of the MFP. Things can go bad with the harddrive otherwise.

gwEms approach is the sensible one if you will use Timer C, it will scale to the frequency you need (1-200 Hz) instead of using a a fixed number that will only work for 60 Hz tunes.

Another option is to setup say Timer D at the correct frequency and play from that. However, if your file is using timer effects, chances are big that it's already using Timer D.

For demos, especially demos that will use rasters and/or other more raster-synced code, 50 Hz tracks is the way to go so it can run on the VBL and not mess up your pretty colour bars :) Better give the musican the limits BEFORE he/she starts doing the track.
