I reported this to Frank about a year ago, he wrote me then:

Hmm... that's how Devpac-Amiga behaves. X+ means here that only XDEFed
symbols should by included in the output, which is the inversion of the
D-flag, so it probably makes not much sense anyway.

Now I have seen in the Atari Devpac manual that X+ is used to allow more
than 8 characters in exported symbols. This is also irrelevant for vasm, as
it will automatically use the extended format, when a symbol name is too
long.

So the best is to ignore the X (and XDEBUG) option to avoid problems.
