Ah yes, a topic that I raised a few years back and was met with laughter :).
Have a look at http://dhs.nu/bbs-coding/index.php?request=3073 - the tl;dr version: ff8201/3/d works as advertised (it's aligned to 8 bytes though), but for fine scrolling you're screwed :)
