You're right. But if your mixer routine is simple nearest neighbour interpolation then you can easly transfer every forth sample and resample that at 125Khz/4 - you'll get the same. I'm not trying to say that full quality xm player is possible on falcon. I'm saying there's a bunch of optimisation tricks that can be done. And to be honest players on Falcon weren't that clever (sadly including mine).
btw. it's 100% possible on 060 ;)
