Are you referring to a GEM drop down menu, as in a call to menu_bar()? If so, that may be the problem you are looking for. A desk accessory can't have a drop down menu, only the main foreground app (*.prg) is allowed to do that.
Otherwise awesome. Nice effort indeed.
