You see, very easy once you know the basics :) I'm glad you've sorted it out.
About the editor / IDE -- there's such thing called Chatwin, I think QED even supports it (SE protocol) but I have no practical experiences with that.
Btw, DHS guys have made some tutorial for vbcc -- http://dhs.nu/vbcc (it should be added to theirs "Special feature" section I think).
