Hi All,
Thanks gwem to appreciate SainT sound's. Well, honestly I think SainT's sound is currently the best, let's have some explain. The YM sound is ok and I think is quite close to other emu (maybe sounds better, but there is no "mystery" routine).
The keypoint in SainT is the digital sound emulation (playing sample with YM). Here SainT include a special code because to play a sample with an YM you need to setup 3 volume registers. When emulating sound at 44.1Khz for instance, you need to be carefull about how fast you update these three volume registers. This is the key point (Thanks to Paulo Simoes for great discuss about that technic). So for YM digital sound playback, SainT is far better than other emulator. If someone get spare time, you can record a digi-sample demo with SainT and other emu, save all WAV files, and hear it with a great headphone on your PC.
And sorry for harddisk, I have no plan to add this feature because I only watch floppy disk demos :-)
