IIRC, the highest address signal is not connected anywhere at all. What would happen if one was to replace the SRAMs with higher capacity?

I once replaced my SRAMs with faster ones from ISSI (experimented with faster DSP clocks). ISSI has 1024kbit SRAMs which are pin-compatible with the 256kbit ones, except for 4 additional pins. Would there be any point in having more memory for the DSP?
