yes sure I know about the new Photochrome, I sort of harassed Doug a little so he would take up the axe and make a v5 with improvements :-)

It will greatly help my efforts to convert images, just run his tool on the Mac or PC (it takes forever on the CT60 or Aranym), decode the output to readable format (sourcecode for PCS-view with decoder available in that thread linked to above). Perhaps time for a high-quality slideshow demo some day.


About your colour mode; yep nice stuff. I know how it works with a raster-screen rather than bitmap screen, we've done a couple such screens as well. The latest was in overscan in the Drone demo (plasma-looking screen). Overscan adds some interesting timing issues too, having some of the colours as control colours during the right border :)
