Well I don't know, but I think it's possible to get stram troubles with the 060 when all seems OK with the 030.
This is my latest adventure with some hardware changes in my config...
I had a Pionner DVDR 107 inside a box with USB/Fireware adapter not really used on my Mac. So I decided to put this IDE drive for replace the CompactFlash reader on IDE slave on my F030/CT60/CTPCI/Radeon machine .
When I got HD problems in April/May I replaced the IDE 40 wires cable by a 80 wire rebuild by myself for connect a 44 pins connector to the motherboard. So HD and CompactFlash worked since 3 months.
In a 1st time It was impossible to found the DVDR configured in Slave so I have put the DVDR in Master and the Hard Disk in slave. All worked fine during 2 days, but it was impossible to boot under MagiC (IDE slave is unknow), and need also a floppy boot disk for F030 mode. Not cool...
I trid again to swap master/slave and it was OK just a time for a DVD partitions backup and rebuild the TOS. After all the system was locked. Impossible to reboot the machine with the 060, no videl screen.
I remembed the the IDE data are the Falcon bus, I tried to boot on the 030, system seems boot but I got troubles in Videl display. Oups...
The total length of the IDE ribbon was 46 cm but used 3 months without problems.
I replaced the cable by the old 40 wires (shorter), and all worked again (HD in Master, DVDR in Slave).

Conclusion, don't forget than IDE too long can also cause troubles in STRAM and troubles are worse with the 060. With the CT60 access are also faster or slower with different ABE versions.

Didier.
