Falcon audio
Posted by: deez Apr,22.2014-09:22

Hi,

I've recently been playing around with falcon audio in hatari and before I admit defeat on this one I thought I'd ask for help.

All I'm trying to do is play a 16bit signed stereo sample but in hatari (which apparently has some audio issues) I get is part sample played properly, part noise. The sample I'm using has been converted from .wav to raw data using both zero-x and 525, both produce the same end result, ie sometimes corrupt playback.

Playing the source .wav in zero-x works after a fresh restart so atleast sometimes hatari gets it right.

So, could someone please post some sample code how to playback a sample? At some point in the future I'd like to add mixing so playback using hardware registers is preferred.

I know I should be using the real hardware and I'd love to but thats not always an option so if it turns out that it cant be done in hatari thats fine too.

That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
