A lot of people have asked about the brown borders - to minimize the display area to gain framerate?

Well yes to some extent. But the original idea was to have a demo about an inuit doing a movie up in the arktis. The brown borders are the outlines of a movie roll - it was supposed to have rolling frames as well, but we but didn't have time to implement it, and the plot sort of got very hard to realise. Deadlines suck, plain and simple!
