i read it some very long time ago in a dutch atari mag called "ST nieuws". this was in 1995 or so.. later on atari engineers wanted to replace the jaguar gfx/sound with standard (PC) components.. But afaik, this ST Nieuws mag had a quite bad reputation. I wouldn't be suprised if they were just rumours..
I didn't know there was a 1993 microbox prototype at all.
