Bit late, but yeah.
A TON in the UK, is a slang word
Often used as £100
However, its also used as weight too!
As in one TONNE
Also the word can be mixed and might be confusing when heard by ... Well non-uk rsidents I suppose ( Not wantign to sound stupid or offensive )
But we often say thigns like
Its a TON of money
This actually means lots of money of no fixed ammount and not actually a TON or even a TONNE at all.
Bloody english!
