Isn't it normal for a 20years old computer/scene ?

It's already great that some good prods/tools are released, parties held, websites maintained ... of course there's not thousands stuffs being done every year, but still the Atari scene is in rather good shape.

Anyone can download Werkzeug and cram 500,000 polygons with a soft-synth/mp3 on PC, but it's harder and more rewarding to be productive on Atari ( or C64, Amiga, Amstrad, ... )
