Chris, couldn't agree more about it having to look right, and the bodge jobs, so don't rush it.

200 UKP certainly sounds reasonable if it's of a similar standard to the glossy painted Atari rack cases made by Lighthouse in Germany. I'd expect it to take a while to be developed though, it doesn't sound like a highly specialized solution like a 19" rack (which doesn't have to look very interesting and therefore easier to design). I believe there will be a lot more design considerations than just a plain box.
