Exactly ;) With ST wakestates turning the machine off and on again might have a chance of switching wakestate since there's a physical reason for why they happen at power on and then stay the same. With the Shifter modes (as I call them so far) it's unlikely, and the behavior could equally well change due to chance/heat etc.

(The other difference is that ST wakestates can be detected by software. Shifter modes cannot*)
