BTW about 4mb - I have some ideas, but I will have to send you a 'special release' to try it. And it probably needs more work from me to play nicely.


I believe it will be able to run with MMU based virtual memory. The static footprint for the game is too large, but the dynamic footprint is much smaller - it should be able to play, with some loading/disk access of course while moving between rooms.

There is an existing VRAM manager called OUTSIDE for Falcon. I was going to experiment with this first. However the current build steals the MMU. To do the experiment I need to provide a build with no MMU support enabled.


Aside from this, I'll be trying in future to squeeze it into 4MB but I don't know yet if its possible to do it 100% without virtual memory. At the very least, it can be made more compact to help matters.

I hope that makes sense!

I should really try it myself before posting any binaries for that - in case more needs done. I'll be in touch though.
