Mag 2013 - How about another one?
In amongst all the good stuff that came out of the Sillyventure party, last December, you may recall an imitation diskmag called 'Mag!' which slipped out and splashed its way to well-deserved obscurity.
A while after my return from SV 2012, something prompted me to take a closer look at the dusty and half-forgotten corners of my laptop's document folder. To my surprise, I found that there were still a number of unused 'historical' articles, mainly reviews, intended for the doomed Alive 15 issue. It seems that the clearing out process, for which Mag! was created, hadn't been nearly as comprehensive as it was supposed to be!
I had already written a partially live and realtime party report from the Sillyventure, leaving it open-ended where it was going to go. It didn't take too much time or brainpower to thrash out a potential running order for a further possible issue of Mag! A large dollop of thanks has to go to all those people who have been motivated to try really hard to release stuff over the last few months which made this process nice and easy. We're also hopeful for some cool new stuff for this year too.
So now I've got better than 90 percent of a running order, I've now started writing some of these articles, I've even got an idea for a different 'cover picture' theme, the question now is, do you want another issue of Mag! or is there anything else that might need my text-wrangling services over the coming months?
If the answer is "There's no other show in town, so yes please, more Mag!" then I'd be looking to get the new issue released for the SV2k13, which is in November. I've got most areas covered, but I would not object to any third party contributions, particularly on the technical or coding side of things. Also, multimedia is another good one for a different viewpoint too.
