It's packfire, those who has used it this weekend seems to have various bugs showing up, all from TOS Error #35 (non-executable file) to buserror, address error and even illegal instruction.
If you have the possibility, depack the file with firepacker (Windoze only, but works through Wine) and run it unpacked, should hopefully be fine then.
