So, I am maybe a bit late to say this, but now that I am back from Silly Venture, I want to say that I think this was a fantastic event. Again very or even more Atari-crowded and very friendly, of course.
As CiH pointed out, it was long long time ago, that we had such a filled and high quality compo evening. Of course, the ST demo compo was the highlight with unexpected creativity and great people working on astonishing stuff. Also the 8-bit releases were great to watch - Atari 2600 demo compo was stunning + at least one great Atari XL/XE demo - what a show. Additionally, I am impressed by the the music and graphics entries in all categories, which were purely outstanding. My mouth was open quite a couple of times (I suggest to take a look at the DHS download site for the musics / pic DB or the Artcity by Bitfellas for the graphic entries - it's really worth it).

In my opinion beside the entries by party visitors the remote entries were a major contribution to the party (thanks for all the activity - it was real pleasure at the party!). So much good stuff. We should keep this in mind for upcoming parties much more to have rich compos like these.

To give a short overview about the party: a lot of great people and productions, many many, Atari machines, staying in a nearby hostel with the coolest guys you can stay with in a hostel nearby :), always somebody to ask questions (mostly Grey, I am afraid;), warm breakfast and dinner in a dining room, free beer and party t-shirts, a really well organised and outstanding compo night and prizegiving ceremony (in two languages!), lot of events and shows, city trip, amazing competition prizes, heavy publicity work and media coverage. It all made it an unique, comfortable, impressive event to me. It was also cool to see more foreign visitors than last year and I am sure nobody regrets to have gone there.

On the negative side all that comes to my mind is the missing "info desk" for basic questions and also to relieve Grey from everyone asking everything every two minutes :) However, it was amazing to see how you handled all this, Grey, respect! As another detail, the audio quality was hurting in some moments during the compo due to unfortunate mixer settings.

To be honest apart from this, I think it is hardly possible to improve or repeat such a party with the same extend and flair. (This sentence is supposed to do the work in pushing the organisers to arrange another edition one day;)

Anyway - Grey, AdamK, Pinokio, Yerzymey, Piter, and the other ones involved: thank you for this great Atari party - you rock :)

PS: I feel like sending some big greetings to the people I met at Silly Venture. In fact, I had many unforgetable talks and moments with you guys!

Yerzymey: let's have another compo clash at the next party ;)
