My account on Youtube is just a standard one, but it was originally a Google account.
All I had to do in order to upload longer (than 15 min) videos was to get the account confirmed. They sent a text message to my phone & I had to type the code in, in order to achieve this.
I think as long as the stuff being uploaded is not copyright (ie, a movie or so) then Youtube are fine with the lengths.
