Hey guys & girls ^^

My name is Stefan, i am 26 years, i am from germany and i work as programmer and security consultant. Me and some friends of mine have decided to start a new generation of 8/16/32-Bit Demo Parties & Conventions in Germany where all hxr, crxr, msxr & grfxr are welcome :). We also plan to open a Video Game Museum in Berlin and we already have about 25 Video Game Consoles and Computers, from 8-Bit to the state of the art :) We even managed to get some rare candies as the 3DO, and the Amiga 2000. Also we have about 300 original games for various platforms, complete, in their original packaging. Currently we own one of the biggest Emulation-Archives World Wide (nearly a TB ^^) , but unfortunately we most-likely won't get all the licenses to show them of in the museum :( We are trying also to get in touch with companies such as Nintendo & Sega, as well as with ex-engineers and ex-workers of companies like Commodore Buisness Machines & Atari. We hope to get official support and a fairly well resonance so that we can continue building the museum after the few first conventions. The problem is that we could just not afford to rent a room at the moment since all the cash went into hard- and software. We would appreciate any kind of contribution (e.g. sending old hardware, computers, consoles, joysticks, paddles, devices, disks, diskboxes, floppy drives, posters, advertisements, commercials, audio & video files, computer & console magazines, cartridges, tapes, stickers, buttons, walkthroughs, applications, games, a.s.o., does anyone have an eeprom-writer laying around :P ). All contributors will be named in the convention and the museum by their real or choosen name. We also offer Services to modificate & repair specific Hardware, import Clone-Consoles and Computers (e.g. Third Party Consoles that play NES, SNES or Mega Drive Games, portable Super Nintendo / Sega Genesis, a.s.o.). We want to found something like a european headquarter of computer & console fans, programmers, developers and users that help each other, gives support to the scene and where they also can offer their work for a fair price on a plattform that is advertisement free, but supported by users. We are just fans also, so we need all the support we can get from anywhere and anyone. Since the retro / emulation wave this is the best opportunity that we've got in the last 10 years to revive the demo scene as well as the push the semi-public interest in programming, hacking & video games and bring generations of computer users together. I hope that someone who reads will help us out and like the idea behind this concept. A last note for the programmers under you: We are also plan to release new titles for some of the old consoles & computers, that are e.g. burned onto flash cartridges and sold over the internet, with custom cover & packaging. It's your choice ! Help revive this 'dead society' (^^)
