Hello,
as you can see this place doesn't look or work quite as it did the last time you visited.
Why you may ask - it did work before (never touch anything that works..)
1. Most of the site have been re-coded and is now finally all in PHP and manageable.
Earlier it was a mishmash of PHP, shell scripts and Perl, hopeless to keep updated.
2. I was never quite happy with having all links on every page in the left and right edges.
I wanted submenus in each category. So finally, at least for me, it's less cluttered.
3. Looking at the time machine at Archive.org I was shocked to see that the pewvious framework have been in use since 2001! Nine years is quite some time in web-years :-)
4. More CSS use and less <font blabla.. tags. I think think we nailed that.
5. HTML 4.01 compilance, perhaps something is still bad, I would like to know then so it can be fixed. To try and do this with the old mess of files was nothing short of impossible.
Okay, that was my egoistic reasons to make everything a mess for you.
Some points worth to know;
- Files for download still have the same URL (so f.ex. Pouet.Net downloads will still work)
- Old bookmarks to for example a BBS page will not work, please update that bookmark
- I've tested the page in Highwire and it works fine. The only problem I could see was that Highwire doesn't do transparent PNG or CSS background images, so the borders and logo will look a bit odd. However function-wise it seems to work better than before (faster rendering)
- Everything is not yet in the new framework, but I really wanted to switch over now and add the remaining things as time go by

That's all, if you think the site got much worse now, I'm sorry but shit happens :-)
