Upload, to be or not to be :)
So far I've decided to let upload to admins, anyone who's interested to help (and I mean help, not just to look behind the scenes :) is welcome.
There is quite some work involved:
- Pics should be in 24bit PNG, not from JPEG or dithered GIF, eg freshly ripped from the prod is the best :) Also it's good if the image is cropped correctly (eg, a 320x200 image does not need the surrounding background colour).
- When uploading pics the database will take care of resolution and colour counting. All the rest (title, artist, filename, software, production, pouet url etc etc) is for the submitter to add.
- Odd siplay formats can need some investigation as well, for example a Spectrum 512 is easily identified as the first scanline is blank. Some pictures have unever pixel ratio (eg. ST-MED or TT-LOW) and need correction before uploading. This has to be done without filtering of course.
