I seem to recall that I had to put the mail folders in the same directory as the program, or at least on a regular BGM partition. I initially tried to put it on the EXT2 partition but it did not work.
I also couldn't figure out how to change the location where these files would be stored, so I had to delete the whole thing and re-install. It asks for the folder locations the first time you run (I think) but I couldn't find any way to update these from the program menus.
